Jared M. Pendergrass is a civil litigator who joined Norman Wohlgemuth in August 2025, where he represents clients in complex disputes in state and federal court. He brings a disciplined, analytical approach, shaped by early exposure to high‑level judicial decision‑making, and a commitment to the precision and rigor expected in sophisticated litigation.
Before joining the firm, Jared gained experience across several respected legal environments, including externing and interning for the Honorable Judge William D. LaFortune. His work ranged from appellate drafting—including contributions to a Petition for Writ of Certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States and briefing before the Supreme Court of Oklahoma—to independently managing client matters in a public‑interest setting.
Jared graduated with Honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he earned CALI Awards in Legal Writing and Medical Malpractice, placed second in the school’s negotiation competition, and was named to the Faculty Honor Roll four times. He served twice as an elected Delegate to the Student Bar Association, was appointed SBA Rules Committee Chair, co‑founded the Agricultural Law Association, and was active in numerous other organizations. Jared received his B.A. in Psychology from Lubbock Christian University, where he was consistently on the President’s and Dean’s Lists. He was a member of the LCU praise choir and chamber singers, was elected choir chaplain, and was honored with the University’s Silver Medal Award for Service for his contributions to the campus and broader community. He was also inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success. Prior to law school, Jared worked for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest.
Jared’s parents, both CPAs, built distinguished careers in accounting and firm leadership across Texas and New Mexico, instilling in him a deep respect for integrity, precision, and service to clients and the community. His professional values are further rooted in a family tradition of intellectual rigor, technical excellence, and public‑minded work. His grandfather, an aerospace engineer at NASA and a former professor of applied physics at Johns Hopkins University, modeled the disciplined problem‑solving that informs Jared’s approach to litigation. Raised in Lubbock, Texas, Jared carries those principles into his practice today.
Jared and his wife, Riley, a private pediatric speech‑language pathologist, live in Claremore with their golden retriever, Dolly, and their cat, Kevin.
